Elisabeth Leau is a multidisciplinary artist, architect, and scenographer whose work fuses architecture, performance, and visual arts into a seamless language of space and emotion. Trained in Architecture at Central Saint Martins, London, she expanded her practice through acting and drama, and distinguished herself in Scenography and Costume Design under Maria Chaniotaki (with honors). Her study of the “Method of Dionysus” under Theodoros Terzopoulos deepened her exploration of the physical and metaphysical body in performance.

Leau founded her own design studio, creating sculptural and conceptual works that challenge the boundaries between art and space. In theater, she co-created the award-winning “An Ice Thing to Say” with director Mayra Stergiou—a performance-installation blending ice, music, and movement to embody the fragile tension between nature and humanity, showcased at the Prague Quadrennial, Athens-Epidaurus Festival, and beyond.

Her independent visual practice navigates mythology, psychology, and materiality. In her solo exhibition “IN BETWEEN ETHER” at the Spyros Loverdos Foundation, ethereal sculptures and paintings (“Plasmata”) invited viewers into an exploration of the visible and invisible, the fragile and the eternal.

Described as fresh, eccentric, and visionary, Leau’s work transcends form, offering poetic meditations on existence, myth, and the subconscious. Her pieces are held in private collections, continuing to evolve across disciplines.
